ALTERATIONS & ADDITIONS, FOOTSCRAY

The client likes  a cost effective transformation to the weatherboard period home they own. We thought the rear garden and the existing gum tree is a great asset to the house. Rather than extending out and further losing the land and reduce the asset value of the house, we proposed to redo the interior layout of the house instead.

A simple opening up of the existing 3rd bedroom to convert them into a north facing living space has given a new fresh perspective to the house. The kids can now have direct access to the garden and make it a very interactive living environment.

All the ornate features of the existing section of the house were restored: this includes the ornate ceiling rose, arches, timber flooring and light fittings.

The house now has a double character of old and modern.
